The Kōdō Stone Burner
- Ash Falls Inside The Stone
- Cut From Solid Marble
- Lifts Apart To Empty

How It Works
How It Works
Lift the domed top off and set it beside the bowl.
Stand an incense stick upright in any one of the holes across the dome. The hole grips the stick and holds it straight while it burns down.
The ash drops through the hole into the hollow bowl underneath instead of onto your table. Cones and loose resin sit in the bowl with the dome back on, and the smoke finds its way out through the same holes.
When the bowl fills, lift the dome off, tip the ash into the bin and wipe both halves dry.

Materials & Care
Materials & Care
Solid natural marble, cut and hollowed in two halves — a bowl beneath and a domed lid drilled with holes across the top.
To clean: lift the dome off, let everything cool, and tip the ash out of the bowl. Wipe both halves with a dry cloth. Marble is porous — keep it away from oils and standing water, and never put it in a dishwasher.
Every burner is cut from natural stone, so the veining and colour differ piece to piece. Yours will not look exactly like the photograph.

Ash On The Table, Or Ash In The Stone
A flat holder leaves the ash wherever the stick drops it. The Kōdō Stone Burner stands the stick in the top of a hollow marble ball, so the ash falls straight down inside the stone — and the whole thing lifts apart when you want to tip it out. ✨
